    Auto Detailing in San Diego is not hard to find!  Quality Auto Detailing is!  Unlike many auto detail shops in San Diego who call themselves "detailers", Detail Works spends 8 to 10 man hours on the detailing of each car.   Our knowledge on proper auto detailing techniques can keep the "WORST" from happening to your car, which is an investment.  No matter what the make or model of your car, we treat your car in the most professional way possible.  On the exterior detail we take the time to remove antenna's, wiper blades, emblems and troubled parts that can cause hazards while buffing your car.  We mask off all moldings, rubber seals, plastic door handles and even your windshield squirters to prevent scuffing, scratching or worst, melting of these parts.  Each car's paint is clayed to remove fallout, raildust and overspray.   Then we always use a four step polishing procedure to remove (not fill) scratches, oxidation, waterspots and swirl marks, feed and condition paint and to finish with a good Carnauba  Car Wax or Teflon® Paint Sealant.  We dress and condition all plastic and rubber parts.  Then we go around with a horse hair tooth brush and get the wax out of the emblems, cracks and crevices to finalize your exterior detail.  For the interior cleaning we clean the headliner, vinyl, leather, plastic, carpets (extraction), dials and vents.  Now we dress and condition all vinyl, leather and plastic interior parts.  We can also remove smoke odors with our ozone machine.  Smoke and ash odors can be removed electronically with our ozone machine.  Even odors caused by fire , ash and smoke can be removed.  Engines are steamed cleaned and all plastic, rubber and painted parts are dressed to look new.  Over all your car will look as new as possible, bumper to bumper.     Here we are masking off a car to protect moldings, rubber seals, plastic door handles, windshield wipers, emblems and any area that should be protected.  Taping the different areas of your car is important before buffing paint. A buffer can remove paint, melt moldings, discolor parts or burnish compounds and waxes into the porous plastic parts while polishing paint.  We tape all these areas. This is an added step to ensure a quality exterior detail every time.  Better safe than sorry!

    We use solvent to remove road tar and grime from your rocker panels, under bumpers and wheel wells.  Every inch of your car should be clean of road tar and grime before buffing, polishing or waxing.  This makes for the best exterior detail you can possible achieve.  Auto Detailing at it's best.

    Claying your car removes Fallout and Overspray to make your paint smooth as glass. Claying helps to prevent pollutants from sticking to the Fallout or Overspray stuck to your cars paint and getting baked in by the sun causing oxidation.  Car waxing alone can't do this.  The slicker the paint the less likely anything will stick to it causing oxidation.  This brings Auto Detailing to a higher standard. 

    Interior Cleaning and Interior Detailing is a very important process.  We get into every nook and cranny while cleaning and shampooing the interior.  Using air and a long haired bristled brush is how we clean all the interior vents, cracks and crevices.  Spraying liquids instead of brushing and blowing can leak into the interior switches, wiring or behind any clear dials or lenses and cause damage. We shampoo the interior carpets, headliner and all interior leather, vinyl and plastic.  Then we condition the interior vinyl, leather and plastic parts.  A properly Interior Detail can make your car look like new.  We don't skimp on the interior cleaning process.  

    Now we are buffing and polishing the paint of this car to remove all scratches, water spots oxidation and swirl marks! When buffing paint we use a 4 step system to ensure a swirl free mirror like finish when the sun reflects off your cars freshly polished paint.  Nothing more unsightly than a car with buffer and swirl marks all over it.  Exterior Detailing should make your cars paint look better than new.  Regular car waxing keeps the oxidation away keeps your cars paint looking new!

    Washing your car after buffing and polishing the paint is a very important step to remove all compounds and polishes from the cracks and crevices.  Nothing is more unsightly than compound in all the cracks and stuck to all the edges of your newly polish paint.  We also clean the Wheels and Wheel Wells to give the whole exterior that New Car Look. Knowing the proper cleaners to use on each individual type of wheel is important in wheel cleaning.

    Orbital Buffing and waxing is the final steps to ensure a swirl free finish.  The 1st step is to feed and condition the paint while removing the final ribbons (Swirls) in the paint from the buffing and polishing.  Then we lock it all in with the protection coat of Car Wax or Teflon® to prevent Oxidation or the fading of your paint.  This is what makes or breaks an Exterior Detail.

    Wheel Cleaning and Polishing can be dangerous.  We have special cleaners for each type of wheel.  For the Custom wheels that you can see the brake calipers we clean the inside of the rim also.  This really accents those fancy wheels.  We clean wheels properly because "Wheel Cleaning" is what we do!

    We even Clean and Polish your Exhaust Tips.  This just makes your Exterior Detail have that total detail look.

    Tooth Brushing is another one of those steps you just can't skip when detailing your exterior.  Nothing looks worse than car wax in and around all your emblems, cracks and crevices.  We make your paint and exterior look like it's just off the show room floor.  Show Room Detailing is the final product.

    Let's face it.  if the windows are streaky the car just doesn't look clean.  Yes there is a technique to window cleaning.  Clean windows can really make your freshly Detailed Car look great!

    Door Jams are the first thing you see in your interior when you open your doors.  Nothing looks worse on a fresh interior detail than dirty door jams. Just like the rest of your interior cleaning the jams end up sparkling clean!
