DOOR PANEL CLEANING!
Door panels are cloth, velour, vinyl or leather. Each should be cleaned differently. Cloth or velour can be scrubbed an extracted or cleaned by hand. Usually you would first blow your door panel off with your air compressor. Then you would dry brush all cracks, crevices, switches and handles with your horse hair paint brush. Moderately spray your cleaner onto your cloth or velour panel. Using you vinyl scrub brush, scrub the dirty areas and stains. Proceed to extract these areas by first running the extractor over the area while spraying the extraction solution. Follow up by going over the areas once or twice with just the extractor to extract all excess cleaners and dirt. Extracting the panels well help the interior to dry faster. If you don’t have an extractor you can spray warm water and vacuum thoroughly with your shop vac. Leather and vinyl are cleaned differently. Once you have checked for color fastness you can now clean the leather or vinyl. Blow panels and dry brush cracks, crevices, switches and handles. You can spray cleaner onto a clean terry cloth towel and clean panels while following with a dry clean terry cloth towel. For dirty or grimy leather and vinyl you can spray your cleaner onto the panels and lightly scrub with your nylon brush. Be careful to keep your cleaners out of all switches or electrical components. This could short them out or cause electrical problems. Follow your scrubbing with a clean dry terry cloth towel to pick up all the dirt. Keep switching your towel to nice clean and dry sections so you are make sure to pick up all the dirt and cleaner.
